recording DVB-T (Freeview) radio stations

Hello:

I posted a similar question a couple of weeks ago about extracting and
playing the audio portion of a recording from a DVB-T stream saved in
Xine.

The solution was quite simple but it had eluded me to dump the audio..

My question today is about recording a DVB-T radio stream in Mencoder. 
Whenever I try to do this I get the error that there is no video stream
... which is correct technically, however, I still get this error even
if I  do not specify an OVC ...

I am sure the solution to this is equally easy.  Can anyone help.
