No vf_ commands for -slave?

Hello all,

I see there are a few af_* commands in DOCS/tech/slave.txt, but I see
no way of using video filters.

Is there any way of using things like -vf expand and -vf scale via a
fifo?

I'm interested in being able to change the size of the video window
remotely.
