When I play some avi files with a locally compiled mplayer, it uses mpg123 to decode the audio, and it decodes it incorrectly.

So, the audio is misinterpreted, and when I try to move around in the file, it then locks the movie after a few seconds. My locally compiled version. Fails with mpg123: [lavf] stream 1: audio (mp3float), -aid 0 Load subtitles in ./ ========================================================================== Opening audio decoder: [mpg123] MPEG 1.0/2.0/2.5 layers I, II, III AUDIO: 48000 Hz, 2 ch, s16le, 32.0 kbit/2.08% (ratio: 4000->192000) System version without mpg123 support. Works with ffmpeg: [lavf] stream 1: audio (mp3float), -aid 0 Load subtitles in ./ ========================================================================== Requested audio codec family [mpg123] (afm=mpg123) not available. Enable it at compilation. Opening audio decoder: [ffmpeg] FFmpeg/libavcodec audio decoders libavcodec version 59.18.100 (external) AUDIO: 48000 Hz, 1 ch, floatle, 62.6 kbit/4.08% (ratio: 7824->192000) Selected audio codec: [ffmp3float] afm: ffmpeg (FFmpeg MPEG layer-3 audio) I filed a bug at fedora's bugzilla, and it was closed as an mplayer issue. I don't think it is, but I am asking here in case it is. I have two workarounds, compiling without mpg123 support and using the system mplayer, so not major. However, this used to work without any issues. My question: Is it an mplayer issue?
