This answer seems very specific, generic, and wrong ;-)

Back to the original topic.

@Ludger: If your concern is about the UNKNOWN-12, this is not really
a problem. It's just a bit weird looking version output. It happens
e.g. if you compile mplayer from a Git clone with a compiler like
GCC 12. It does no harm.

If you want to learn about slave mode, I would recommend to have a
look at slave.txt in your source directory or e.g. online[1].
