Can't Install mplayer 0.9 rc1 from rpm

I've tried to install mplayer from the PIII specific files. I keep failing 
on mplayer-0.90rc1-2.i686.rpm with:

error: unpacking of archive failed on file /usr/bin/mplayer;3df9f6be: 
cpio: MD5 sum mismatch

I've downloaded the package three times just incase it was a garbled 
download but get the same message each time.

Any suggestions?
