Well, Ogle now read the device to open from the config file.
I though I had changed the config script to set the correct default
string thouhg.  Do you have an old config setting in your 
personal .oglerc file perhaps?  
The normal default for ALSA should be 'default' (without the '').
Ogle 0.8.3 used the hardcoded string 'hw:0,0'.
