For some window managers this should simply not happen.  These are the
new wm's that have a special FULLSCREEN mode.  With older wm it might
be a problem.  And when one loses focues it's not good to have 
'focus-on-enter' for example, since it's hard to 'enter' a window that
covers the screen.   Click-to-focus would be much better, or having a
acceleration button for that or moving windows, say Alt+LeftMouse so
you can move it away and 'enter' to regain focus.

It's a dilema, I don't think it would be a good idea to grab the input
focus like that, what if Ogle crashes, or hangs.

Well, I don't think this is a good idea, think for example of people
that have two screens and run Xinerama, they'd surly like to move the
mouse over to the other screen and do stuff there without Ogle leaving
fullscreen mode just because of that.  
It's a problem havign 'focus-on-open' and 'focus-on-enter'.  Other 
suggestions about how to solve this would be welcome.
