I used to run the KDE screensaver, and somehow xine still managed to stop that from coming up. I now use the xscreensaver verison 4.00 because they look nicer :) haven't tried ogle with xscreensaver yet! But since like 65% of linux users use KDE or something, it'd be a good idea to be able to disable the KDE screensavers (I dunno what xine does, it doesn't mention anything about KDE, but it works...) btw, there's another thing about ogle. In screen modes other than the "main feature widescreen" mode, there is some interlacing effects.. is this due to the mpeg libraries? if so, I wonder how we can stop it, because it is quite noticable... I played this old movie re-released on DVD, and it was in TV dimensions, and the interlacing effect was quite bad (noticeable on the edges during movement)... I've done a course on digital image processing, but it was only introductory, so i'm not sure what techniques can be used to minimize the effect of interlacing (widescreen looks perfect!) Just to note, powerDVD on win does not show those effects with the same DVD on the same computer...
