Ogle 0.9.0 and ALSA audio output: video speedup and no sound

Hello.
I am the who posted a message 5 days ago which described how Ogle from 
CVS froze completely when audio is supposed to have been played.  [The 
message got no replies.]

Now that Ogle 0.9.0 is out, I decided to give it a try.

The good news: ALSA as audio output does not freeze Ogle anymore.

The bad news: There is -no- audio and the video is around 4 times faster 
than normal.  The output is:

OSS as audio output works fine, however.

Is there anything I can do/try?

System specs:
ALSA 0.9.0rc7 (everything, from libs to kernel modules)
gcc 3.2
glibc 2.2.5
