Looks like a problem with the i18n stuff.

Could you uninstall Ogle (and libdvdread) and then try
with the latest versions?

I'll take a quick stab att updating the instructiosn,
shouldn't be much more than changing the version numbers
here and there.

Note that Ogle gui is not written for Gnome 2.2 (the latest version).
If you can an alternative is to use the Goggles front-end, this
however requiers another GUI toolkit called FOX.
