Hi everyone, Just wanted to fill you in on my results... SUN's MediaLib 2.2 is made of the following packages: application SUNWmlib mediaLib - Shared Libraries application SUNWmliba mediaLib - Archive Libraries application SUNWmlibe mediaLib - Examples application SUNWmlibh mediaLib - Headers application SUNWmlibk mediaLib - Header and Example Links application SUNWmlibl mediaLib - Library Links One of the important 'changes' in MediaLib 2.2 is that headers go in /usr/include instead of /opt/SUNWmlib/include. A compatibility package is provided that will do the following: 1) create an empty /opt/SUNWlib directory. 2) link /usr/include to /opt/SUNWmlib/include 3) link /usr/lib to /opt/SUNWmlib/lib This will make ogle-0.9.1 fail to compile with multiple errors because: ogle forcibly includes /opt/SUNWmlib/include which will point to /usr/include as of MediaLib-2.2 (ever tried to -I/usr/include with gcc on Solaris/Sparc ?? Hmmm..). The workaround - if using MediaLib 2.2 - is -NOT- to install SUNWmlibk and instead do the following: 1) cd /opt/SUNWmlib 2) mkdir include && cd include 3) ln -s /usr/include/mlib*.h /opt/SUNWmlib/include Of course, it would be best to modify ogle's configure script to auto-detecte if mlib*.h is in /usr/include and skip /opt/SUNWmlib/include entirely.. I'll try to come up with a patch that works for both 2.1 and 2.2 but I wanted to report this 'problem'. Best regards and thanks again for making ogle run on Solaris.. :) ,-*~'`^`'~*-,._.,-*~'`^`'~*-,._.,-*~'`^`'~*-,._.,-*~'`^`'~*-,._.,-*~'`^`'~*-, Vincent S. Cojot, Computer Engineering.
