This change (which disables XShm for ogle) makes it work for me under 
Solaris 10 (Of course it is not advisable to do that):

root@ergoth:[/usr/local/src/ogle-0.9.2-cvs][594]# diff 
mpeg2_video/video_output_x11.c.orig mpeg2_video/video_output_x11.c

I'll be investigating this on monday with a different Solaris 10 machine..
Any ideas?
