Found out how to do it though, one should add the folloing magic sequence
as the first line in the man page:  '\" t
No you I did make any misstake writing that, it really is apostrophe,
backslash, double quote, space and t.  Insanity!
Could you check that this doesn't cause any breakage on a GNU system?
