Humm, well yes, libdvdread finds the device from the mount point and
accesses is directly anyway.

The things is that DVD are required to have an UDF filesystem, and 
libdvdread contains a minimal UDF filesystem parser.  It uses this to
locate the files on the DVD for access.

If there isn't an UDF filesystem the parser will fail, and it says that
it can't find the file.

I guess this DVD is a DVD-R(W) produced by some non compliant software.
