So, I compiled Ogle and liba52 with those disabled. ..can't recall the config options from memeory, but I think with liba52 I used "--disable-oss --disable-alsa". I thought that there is a movement toward integrating ALSA in the kernel, but it hasn't actually happened. I also thought that OSS is a quasi-commercial thing, so would never be part of the kernel sound system. Regards, Barry Kauler
