brightness controls

One feature I would love to see in Ogle is the ability to change
brightness and other image attributes.  The output using either
Xv or Xshm is too dark on my system, and my video card won't let
me change the settings with xvattr.

If I could change the settings from within Ogle, I'd be able to
happily use it for my DVD viewing.  Is this a possibility?
