RH9 problems, ogle dies, no video

I've built and installed from SRPMS, ogle and the
other packages listed in the download section.  Ogle
starts, brings up a black screen for a second or so,
then dies.  RH9 on P2-400 laptop.  Is this fast enough
to play dvds, even at reduced resolution or framerate?
 

artsdsp ogle -u cli /mnt/cdrom --debug

Debug log attached.  I didn't see anything immediately
obvious after reading the FAQ.
