Could be a problem with your audio driver.
Try to change the <speakers> section in the oglerc to
contain just:
<speakers>
 <channel_config>
  <chtype>Left</chtype>
  <chtype>Right</chtype>
 </channel_config>
</speakers>

If this doesn't work attach the output from 'ogle --debug' when playing
the dvd.
