Sun Machines with Toshiba SCSI DVD-ROM drives (read for RPC1 upgrade.. :) ).

The following Solaris/Sparc tool will flash the firmware on your Toshiba
SD-1401 DVD-ROM drive (present in SB1k, SB2k, V880, V880z, Ultra80, Ultra
60, etc..) with an RPC1 (region-free) firmware.

This is useful is you get the following message in your syslog -and- you
have one of these drives:
scsi: [ID 10019010 kern.notice] ASC: 0x6f (Mismatched region to this logical unit), ASCQ: 0x4, FRU: 0x0

This can happen if you're trying to play a region-2 DVD with a region-1
drive with Ogle under Solaris. The DVD will eventually play but the
observed behaviour is annoying (the drive seeks and some delay is
introduced).

Get it from (Download the "SunOS" link):
http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=188

You should get the following file:
$ cksum Toshiba-SD-M1401_rpc1-tools.zip
1663414979      142360  Toshiba-SD-M1401_rpc1-tools.zip

(Unzip, read the readme)
