Ok this is not how it should be. With occasional I thought perhaps
once in 10 min or so.
Have you checked that DMA is on? This is the most common thing
to cause stuttering (doesn't matter how fast your cpu is).

Could you supply the output from
ogle --debug >& ogle.log
from a short run (a few minutes, enough to include the stuttering)
so I can see if the problem is visible in the debug output.
