Can't see anything wrong in the debug output.
Have you checked you audio output?  It's not sending it to the head phones
or something like that?  (or have the volume muted).

Use stdaudioncontrol or what ever strange thing it is that SUN delivers. 
Or the exelent gtkmixer by Ville.
