First,
Good work! Ogle seems to work (almost).

Running from the command line with no args. The title menu from my
home-made DVD appears. Selecting a title starts the sequence. Three
undesirable things happen: 

1. An error message is written to stdout (or stderr) once every few
frames (see 'output' below).

2. The video appears to be playing smoothly at half speed. The audio is
synchronized and therefore very low in pitch.

3. On some frames of video, black pixels (actually vertically stacked
pixel pairs) appear in some areas of high luminance

The DVD was made on a dvd recorder from CyberHome (I think the guts are
Phillips) from some home videos.

Getting ogle to install was a little tricky. Mostly because the a52
library in the liba52 rpm is static and the ogle rpm looks for a shared
lib (.so)

The dvd player on my pc (the device ogle is reading from) is a:
 Memorex DVD+R/RW 2.4x8AA
