Problem running ogle (SNDCTL_DSP_GETCHANNELMASK: Invalid argument)

I have the same problem described in the original post

I am running Fedora Core 2.

Here are the messages I get when I try to start up the
LOTR1 DVD through Ogle . This problem just started
today. I have successfully run about 3 DVDs on  this
Linux release on this machine with no problems before
today.

NOTE: I have just changed a parameter in the X11
config to handle an X start-up error. This config
chnage is described in Xfree86 Bug 1381. I will
reverse the Xconfig chnage to see if this fixes the
DVD problem - I would not think so as the parameter
only releates to the keyboard.
