Bug #2171, was updated on 2004-Aug-02 09:54 Here is a current snapshot of the bug. Project: Ogle DVD player Category: None Status: Open Resolution: None Bug Group: None Priority: 5 Submitted by: none Assigned to : none Summary: Fedora Core 2 unable to play DVDs (kernel 2.6.6) Details: Hi ! I was an Ogle user in Redhat 7.3 (various 2.4 kernels, various Ogle versions) Since my Fedora Core2 install (kernel 2.6.6) I'm unable to read a DVD. I get various errors, the most frequent one being the device trying to access un existent block. So I upgraded all my Ogle and dvd libs RPM using Livna repository, and tried a "known to work" DVD (Thomas Crown affair from MGM with Pierce Brosnan) and got the following errors : [georges@menfin log]$ ogle WARNING[dvd_gui]: add_keybinding(): No such action: 'SaveScreenshot' WARNING[dvd_gui]: add_keybinding(): No such action: 'SaveScreenshotWithSPU' libdvdread: Using libdvdcss version 1.2.8 for DVD access libdvdread: Can't seek to block 3010775 libdvdread: DVDDiscId read returned 0 bytes, wanted 18432 libdvdread: Using libdvdcss version 1.2.8 for DVD access libdvdread: Attempting to retrieve all CSS keys libdvdread: This can take a _long_ time, please be patient libdvdread: Get key for /VIDEO_TS/VIDEO_TS.VOB at 0x00000141 libdvdread: Elapsed time 0 libdvdread: Get key for /VIDEO_TS/VTS_01_0.VOB at 0x000001e5 libdvdread: Elapsed time 0 libdvdread: Get key for /VIDEO_TS/VTS_01_1.VOB at 0x0001d726 libdvdread: Elapsed time 0 libdvdread: Get key for /VIDEO_TS/VTS_02_0.VOB at 0x002df0e0 libdvdread: Elapsed time 0 libdvdread: Get key for /VIDEO_TS/VTS_02_1.VOB at 0x002df137 libdvdread: Elapsed time 0 libdvdread: Get key for /VIDEO_TS/VTS_03_0.VOB at 0x002ea1ba libdvdread: Elapsed time 0 libdvdread: Get key for /VIDEO_TS/VTS_03_1.VOB at 0x002ea211 libdvdread: Elapsed time 0 libdvdread: Get key for /VIDEO_TS/VTS_04_0.VOB at 0x002eb0e7 libdvdread: Elapsed time 1 libdvdread: Get key for /VIDEO_TS/VTS_04_1.VOB at 0x002eb13e libdvdread: Elapsed time 0 libdvdread: Get key for /VIDEO_TS/VTS_05_0.VOB at 0x002ec384 libdvdread: Elapsed time 0 libdvdread: Get key for /VIDEO_TS/VTS_05_1.VOB at 0x002ec3db libdvdread: Elapsed time 0 libdvdread: Get key for /VIDEO_TS/VTS_06_0.VOB at 0x0030177d libdvdread: Elapsed time 0 libdvdread: Get key for /VIDEO_TS/VTS_06_1.VOB at 0x003017d4 libdvdread: Elapsed time 0 libdvdread: Found 6 VTS's libdvdread: Elapsed time 1 Xscreensaver not running. libdvdread: Can't seek to block 3056049 libdvdread: Invalid IFO for title 3 (VTS_03_0.IFO).
