Yes, everything seems to work now. Before running hdparm,
I was able to watch (some of) the Simon and Garfunkel DVD
with Xine, but with lots of noise in the picture - both Ogle
and Mplayer crashed. Now both Ogle and Xine shows beautiful
pictures. I didn't think of running hdparm, because all the
information I could find said that you should just enable DMA
- and hdparm showed DMA to be enabled for the DVD drive.
