Blank Screens, Failing Audio, and Log Files of Doom

The Problem:
Ogle used to run fine and all was well.  Then my old DVD drive took a radical 
turn for the worse and I was without DVD playing for many, many months.  
Recently I purchased a new DVD burner to meet all of my various mass media 
needs as well as bring back DVD playing.  However, I have not been able to 
get it to work with my current setup.

The following things happen at launch:
1) blank screen appears that looks to be the right size for the video
2) Sound plays for the production studio intro, according to my receiver it is 
5.1 surround sound, so that's a plus
3) Menu starts up, still a blank screen, but the sound switches to stereo (as 
is to be expected)
4) Pressing 'enter' to play the movie initiates the final menu sequence, but 
once the movie file should start playing, the sound dies completely and I'm 
left with a blank screen...  TONS of error messages are printed to the 
consol.

My Setup:
Perhaps more peculiar then most.  I am running 2.6.11, Debian/Unstable using 
the ogle-mmx package (the result is the same with the plain ogle package).  I 
have an on-board nForce card with TV and spdif out, both of which I use 
exclusively.  TV out works fine for everything, including playing the DVD 
through mplayer (but who would want to?), and the audio is all controlled 
through ALSA and usually works like a charm.  I do run KDE, but arts is not 
running.

I am running the most current nvidia drivers, I have set DMA to 'on' for the 
DVD drive, and generally followed all of the recommendations on the FAQ.  The 
only reference to this sort of problem on the mailing list was from last 
month, but the thread ended after the the user provided his system details.

Attached you will find the log file as requested by the FAQ.  I can also 
provide my oglerc file and my .asoundrc file if that would be helpful.
