libdvdread

Hi all,
sorry if I'm off topic. I have a few scratched DVD which I'd like to 
copy but I cannot because libdvdread exit when reach a bad sector.
Is there a way to tell libdvdread to ignore read error?
I know this option is supported in DVDdecrypter but I would like to stay 
on Linux (and avoid to use wine).
If my question is off topic could you please tell me where I can I post it?
