can't play some dvds

Kind Sirs,

Thanks for a wonderful program.  I really enjoy it and it works well.  At 
least it did when I installed it.

Since then I have updated my system twice and when I went to use it last night 
it failed.  What happens is:

1. insert cd.
2. launch Ogle via the dvd button (controlled by lineak).
3. open the 'file' menu and click on 'open disk'.
4. disk is accessed and starts by displaying the copy warning.
5. plays through to the end of the warning and dies taking ogle with it.

I have also tried by launching Ogle from the menu and get the same results.  
The command that launches Ogle form the menu is 'ogle -u gui'.  The command 
that is executed by the 'dvd' key is 'ogle -U'.  Not sure if the change in 
case of the 'u' is important, but it was working that way when I first set it 
up.

OK it seams not to be an issue with the player but an issue with the dvd I try 
to play.  I just inserted a different disk (old Lone Ranger episodes) and it 
ran just fine.  Other disks whose manufacture either can't or are not 
concerned with anti-copy measures seam to run fine.  The one that failed is 
of a newer show called 'The Pretender' and the disks are double sided and 
part of a complete season 2 set from 20th Century Fox (www.Foxtvdvd.com).

When trying a "Chronicles of Narnia (Disney dvd)" and others it crashed as 
soon as disk access started. Sony/Columbia dvd. Universal Studio dvd.  Big 
name companies that can afford anti-copy measures.

Is there a work around for this?

I am running Debian Lenny (testing) on 2.6.22-3-amd64 fully up to date.
Xorg 1:7.3+10
KDE 4:3.5.8.dfsg.1-7
Ogle-mmx 0.9.2-5.1 /with/ogle-gui 0.9.2-4
the laptop is an HP Pavillion dv9317cl
the graphics is nvidia geforce go 6150 running on the nvidia driver 
(NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-100.14.11-pkp1.run) not the latest because it would 
corupt the display when comming out of power saving mode.

The only things I have installed out of the sid repositories are the 2.6.24 
kernel which I am not using and ogle which was not avalible in testing at the 
time I did a reinstall of my system some 3 weeks ago.  I remember that there 
is something else but I can't recall what it is at the moment.  I think it 
had something to do with my built in video camera.

I hope this helps you to improve an already great program.  Thanks again for
