In support of the film's release on DVD, I had the chance to talk to
director Coulter about Hollywoodland.

"It was less about what I learned from him and more what happened to my
idea of how to play the part, once I got to know Eric," Phillippe
explained. At the premiere of Music and Lyrics, both actors had to field
a lot of questions about the appeal of working in this genre.

While Grant's an audience favorite in rom coms, he's never had to sing,
dance, and play the piano in a film before. Meanwhile the return of
Hannibal Lecter was greeted less enthusiastically.

The result is Hannibal Rising, a glimpse into the life of the prolific
killer as a young man.

They did a really good job of capturing the heart and soul of it. But
the idea was more to just pick a few details in his performance and then
add it to my own character.

"It was less about what I learned from him and more what happened to my

explained. And if the response is positive, there may even be a Ghost
Rider 2 in his future.
