Ok It's April 1st and I hafta...

How about Cobol or Fortran? both of those are portable languages :-)

Although Nothing beats the readability of a GUI written in Logo.

	* Objective C (sounds cool and Apple use it)
	* Smalltalk (lurvely OO behaviour)
	* Compiled Java (note: not interpreted)
