configure/make never ends

Hi,

I'm trying to build PicoGUI 0.46. I follow the instructions in the README =
file to configure, but when I go to execute make, it invokes configure =
again, only this time it's almost like it's in a loop, executing the same =
instructions forever.  I'm new to linux and all of it's build tools, so =
I'm not quite sure where to begin.  Has anyone had this problem, and if =
so, how can it be fixed?
