Which isn't even close to what transcode is capable of.

While transcode interacts with many more libraries/devices, and has a much
clearer interface (the module system) for third parties to add even more.
Finally, I'd add that transcode aims to be a _utility_, not a _library_
like libav* (and the "ffmpeg" executable doesn't count; it's not much
more than a wrapper).
