I originally installed 1.0.1 from etch-backports. But I just removed it
and installed 1.1.2 manually.

Ok, I just renamed the directories accordingly. AFAIK mercurial 
maintains the default upstream respository URI, so I think you need to 
adjust your local repositories to point to the new URI's or start a new
clone.

As a result we now have these two repositories:

  ssh://[email protected]/transcode       (currently empty)
  ssh://[email protected]/transcode-hist  (was "transcode")
