Transcode build failure on FreeBSD/amd64

I've made a bug report about this issue, but it has not been touched in months 
now, and I wasn't sure what to do.  I was trying to update the FreeBSD port of 
transcode to 1.1.0 (I'm aware that 1.1.2 is out, though).  However, while it 
builds with no problems under FreeBSD/i386, it fails to build under 
FreeBSD/amd64.  The bug report is here:

If anyone has any ideas what I can do to get the port updated under FreeBSD, I'd 
really appreciate it.  The PR of the port upgrade was just placed into a 
suspended state today, but I do not want FreeBSD to be stuck with version 1.0.6 
of transcode.
