I'm not a programmer and more a beginner but if i can help it in using in our project, i'll do it and it is one reason of my presence here. I have never compile this programm and less a beta (or alpha ?) version. You know, sometimes, just a tiny thing could do the difference. I am thinking at the DVB module and at some interesting filters, formats and codecs and some others features (video metadata) that the others don't do, could do the difference. Is it so complicated to do a filter for the metadata for you (your team) ? For the version, yes, i m agree. I have seen the call do here http://tcforge.berlios.de/ and i have launched my own call on the French community, hoping that a member of our community who is one of the web-masters of the site OMGUbuntu<http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/>re-launched it. Unfortunately, no. And i m sure that the fact to put some feature of Transcode could bring you more help that you have received here because our community is international and active for propagating the news. I think that the filters stabilize and transform are a good to turn on you the light. And for us a feature not find in another program (fot his one only in Gstreamer) is a good thing for the user (and us because at the base we are some users too). I thing that i have not forgotten somethingso @+ Best Regards 2010/9/4 Andrew Church <[email protected]> > >Where is the project Transcode and his future : the version 1.2.0 ? > > Unfortunately, I'm afraid Transcode is pretty much dead at the moment. > The previous developer (Francesco) has resigned, and I have too many > other demands on my time to give Transcode 1.2 the attention it needs. > > The source is open, of course, so if you want to start patching it on > your own, I doubt anyone will complain.
