Category: Video and graphics code Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Assigned to: Billy Biggs (vektor) Summary: RFE: Fullscreen without black top and bottom banner Initial Comment: I have a widescreen TFT screen and my PAL bttv card receives a widescreen 16:9 image on a 4:3 canvas resulting in a black top and bottom banner. If I set tvtime to widescreen, the image is stretched, if I set tvtime to a 4:3 ratio, I have a black border around the image and I am not using the complete screen. Real TV's in this case crop the image, removing the black top and bottom banners and stretching the output to cover the complete screen. In this case at least I would have a bigger image. All in all, tvtime offers me the best viewing of all the current TV applications, but that doesn't mean we cannot make it even better :-) Thanks ! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Date: 2009-05-21 22:21 Message: You are looking for the matte-option, try without setting 16:9 mode of tvtime. Just poor that the OSD get's cropped too, it's a little fiddling to fix this.
