As I'm sitting here reading "plop, plop, fizz, fizz, oh
what a relief it is!" for the window title on my
favorite TV app, I can't help but wonder -- can't it
have the channel call letters and title of the current
program showing from xmltv, instead?  It shouldn't be
that hard to do, I'd think -- just an X call for the
current program.  ;)

On a MUCH less technical level..
But yes...that would be really terrific.
And I'm still researching from ALL the archives if anybody came up with an
answer to garbley useless
closed captions. 
The people at Mepis don't know asked me to ask in the course of things.
Which I will do when I have my dux ina row

I have implemented this feature in CVS now using a different
method.  It's basically the same thing, if there is a title
from the XMLTV file, we will use that in the window caption
over the silly taglines.  Thanks for your contribution.
