Initial Comment:
recently i bought nvidia 9600gt card, and tvtime started using 100% of cpu when it has focus. i've discovered that Xorg process the one to blame. Further this happens only if i turn on Xvideo fsync in the nvidia-drivers. Problem is that without fsync images get corrupted and with fsync whole stream is just laggy. 

but, if i cover one side of TVtime window with another window (like terminal emulator) cpu usage goes down, and stream is like it should be, again in fullscreen Xorg hogs one cpu core

this does not happen with kdetv for instance

i have saa7134, terratec card
