Initial Comment:
When adjusting the matte the OSD will be cropped. This results in OSDs like the volume bar etc not being visible in i.e. 16:9 mode.

the fix reuses the tvtime_osd_new function to update the existing tvtime_osd_t, might be cleaner to come up with a _update function instead
