You mean it freezes while parsing the file ? (and thus
the progress indicator doesn't move ?)

You open the file by drag'n'dropping it to the vdubmod
exe ? by righ-clicking and selecting "Open with" and
select vdubmod exe ?
Or do you just select the file in the explorer, and
open the file in vdubmod ("File -> Open video") ?
