question goes to the list .... -------- Original Message -------- Subject: Joblist/Batch command Date: Fri, 26 Sep 2003 13:55:07 +0100 From: DigitAl56K <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Hey Christian, do you think it would be possible to add a button on the VDM Job list window that allows you to insert the path of a .bat file to run as a job? Occasionally its useful to perform some operations between jobs, such as moving/deleting/renaming files, and it could be very easily achieved this way. Also, if VDM could set some environment variable (%VDMJOBNUM%) batch scripts could use this to identify what job number they were being run under (incase the same batch file was run multiple times) and perhaps a variable %LASTJOBSTATUS% that could indicate whether or not the last job completed successfully. The batch script itself could set a variable %VDMCMD% with some values before it finishes to indicate to VDM how to proceed, e.g. it could instruct VDM to continue processing jobs or halt processing for some reason. -Al ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf
