The current CVS version can open files for which you dont have a VFW codec. In this case you can only Direct stream copy the clip. So the mentioned error has been changed in a Log warning. However there was a case in which no warning was shown at all : when you open a file by drag'n'dropping it (or using any shortcut or 'Open with' feature) to the exe. I guess that's how you opened the file ? If not please tell how you opened it thks. I fixed this problem (the warnings not appearing) some times ago but just commited the fix in the CVS today.
