[ANN] VLC 0.6.1

The VideoLAN team is happy to announce the release of VLC media player
0.6.1. This new release features:

   - vorbis and mp3 audio support for the transcoding module
   - improved HTTP remote control interface
   - improved support for the Matroska container format
   - new subtitle module which uses freetype2 to render arbitrary
     fonts in any size
   - PS muxer can create MPEG-1 files now and produce streams
     with system headers
   - Windows fixes (DVD support, 5.1 audio for sblive/audigy and sound on NT4)
   - improved ALSA support on Linux
   - new GTK2 interface for the "Linux on PDA" distributions
