Help in compiling the VLC Media Player on MacOS

Hi everyone!
I was trying to compile the VLC media player on MacOS and I have all the
required softwares including Xcode. I followed all the steps and after
everything was done on the last step to run the build I used
../extras/package/macosx/build.sh -c   The terminal process ran for around
one hour and everything was going good but just now I got a message saying
build failed. Can someone please help me with it?

I am quite new to open source contributions and am eager to learn. It would
be really helpful if someone could help me with this since this is the
first step towards my open-source journey.
