Hi, On Windows, executable version numbers must be 4 numbers. So having an official RC sounds like it will cause issues with tools relying on those numbers. That is to say as opposed to 3.0.18 then 3.0.19. Not that I'd personally care though. AFAICT, the real question is how/where this gets advertised. If it's not annouced at all, it won't get any more attention that nightlies so it won't help find regressions, defeating the purpose.
