Dear mentors,

I'm Canyu Chen, a third-year undergraduate from Wuhan University, China,
majoring in Computer Science. I'm applying for your GSoC25 project. I've
been waiting for a long time for this opportunity to contribute to such
a big open-source project. I am deeply attracted to the philosophy of
the open-source community and eager to integrate into globally renowned
open-source organizations like Debian. I consider it an honor to join
such a prestigious organization, and my mother would be thrilled to hear
about it.

I have a solid grasp of C language features and am proficient in
programming with C++. While I may not be fully familiar with some of the
latest or more obscure advanced features of C++, I am highly skilled in
QT6 development and capable of handling the transition between QT5 and
QT6. I am proficient in Java, Golang, Python, and HTML5 programming. I
hope these skills can provide you with some extra support.

Additionally, I have studied software engineering and software
architecture, giving me a certain level of understanding of software
frameworks and the organization of open-source projects. I'm
proficiently with git, which enables me make contributions faster and
easier. Most importantly, I have taken an operating systems course,
providing me with a fundamental understanding of operating system
frameworks and their operational principles.

Maybe it's a little bit late for me to send application now. But now I
have massive spare time to finish a proposal and begin make
contributions to VLC.

I would love to apply for your GSoC project and would greatly appreciate
your consideration!
