But it is the plan now.

Well maybe you couldn't hear the opinions from users who stopped
receiving email notifications about what's going on, or stopped being
able to log in, and just gave up. It's called survivorship bias. 100% of
people who weren't put off, driven off or excluded by the platform, find
it at least tolerable, yes, yes indeed.

That is an idea. GitLab sure didn't give me any contact to turn to after
pretending my account didn't exist. Won't you get more spam on that
address though?

By the way, here is a comment from a senior VideoLAN developer
addressing me about the situation with GitLab ghosting me:

Yes, because after getting shunned out by "platform issues" that nobody
took accountability for, what I really wanted as a consequence was to
receive the additional psychological damage of getting blamed for it.
