problem in .flv file

I have a problem playing .flv files.I tried to play the movie that i
downloaded from internet.The movie is of 1 hour 50 minute long but i
am only able to play first 30 minute.It happened to me twice.What is
the problem with the vlc.I am using the latest version of vlc.
