It is the Sun Storage Server with 48 x 3 TByte Disks of my Enterprise.

The entired space is consumed be a special application (which goes crazy
if you add stuff not related to the application) and we have  only  this
Diskspace available. Now if I add symlinks, on another computer (I would
have to do this on more then 180 computers) the directory  structure  is
incomplete or missing

Also I have to repeat this whenever I have new projects...

I do not know, how many video files are on the  server,  but  I  assume,
arround 350.000 and most are between 1-4 MByte
