I am using # rpm -q vlc vlc-1.1.13-3.fc16.i686 I tried the URL in smplayer. Smplayer says connecting, but then nothing happens. Ditto with Amarok. For debugging, start vlc from the commandline with the debug switch set. --------------------------------- Support software for non profit, buy Android phones. So, I googled, and found a message on the forum http://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=81352 responding to another OP with the same problem. The response is: ---------- You can simply try using this URL as an alternative solution: http://mafreebox.freebox.fr/freeboxtv/playlist.m3u ---------- and the original OP seeking an answer claims that that worked. Well, for me, it does not work at all. What I get from the above URL is an FM station, not sure which, and an error banner stating: Your input can't be opened: VLC is unable to open the MRL ' http://mafreebox.freebox.fr/freeboxtv/playlist.m3u '. Check the log for details. I have no idea where the log is, as I cannot find it in ~/.vlc or in ~/.vlc/cache nor is there a log in /var/log for vlc. ______________________________________________________ vlc mailing list To unsubscribe or modify your subscription options: http://mailman.videolan.org/listinfo/vlc ______________________________________________________ vlc mailing list To unsubscribe or modify your subscription options: http://mailman.videolan.org/listinfo/vlc ______________________________________________________ vlc mailing list To unsubscribe or modify your subscription options: http://mailman.videolan.org/listinfo/vlc
